With an MBA and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, Steve has enjoyed a health care administration career spanning 39 years, incorporating management jobs in health professional education, planning cancer research centers, county health/mental health services, hospice home care services, and from 1999 – 2009 as administrator of psychiatric inpatient, emergency room, outpatient, and consumer-run services.
He has also served on many boards of directors, such as the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill chapters in San Diego and the Coachella Valley, the Mental Health Association, and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists – Desert Chapter (once as President).
